Was so excited to start using my new Soapstone kalchatti! South Indian style dal tasted really good. I decided to season it myself, and followed the enclosed instructions closely, with excellent results. This is my first experience with a kalchatti, and I must say it is not as hard as it seems. Yes, using it might need a bit more awareness about how to handle the vessel, but it feels good to know that not only am I using non-toxic cookware, but I am also supporting the craftsmen. Kudos to Zishta’s vision of preservation of our cultural heritage. Happy to support this great cause in my little way.

Great stone quality
I have couple of kalchattis that I bought from different places. The one from zishta stands above all of my collection in their stone quality. Superb quality.

Awesome product
Recently I purchased soapstone kalchatti (large). Before purchasing I had an inquiry about it through zishta whatapp group. Thy advised me to get large size for a family of 4.which is good because I was about to book medium one. Thanks for the advice on that zishta team. About soapstone.. I ordered for a seasoned one. First time when I look at it I felt that they sent unseasoned one because of the color. I expected it in black color since I ordered a seasoned one but it was in grey color only. Later since I'm not sure I boiled rice washed water in low flame and then started making sambar. It tastes awesome. Really worth buying it. I'm happy. Thanks Archana

Good to Buy
I had bought Dosa Tawa , Kadai and Soapstone pot . Good to use but seasoning was needed. They had the pure-seasoned product too but I prefer to do seasoning myself. They also have their youtube channel where they put detailed process for seasoning. I followed the same and have been using it without worries ever since. It’s a great satisfaction knowing what I’m serving to my family is healthier and chemical free.
