Frequently Asked Questions
1. What makes Odisha-crafted Kansa dinner plates unique?
They are hand-beaten using traditional bell-metal techniques, creating a signature charcoal exterior and precise lathe finish inside - qualities rarely found in machine-made products.
2. Can I pair these dinner plates with other Kansa or brass tableware?
Absolutely. The warm bronze tone and handcrafted texture pair beautifully with kansa bowls, katoris, tumblers, and brass serveware.
3. Do these Kansa plates make a metallic taste in food?
No. The finely lathe-polished inner surface ensures food retains its natural flavours without any metallic aftertaste.
4. How does the handcrafted process influence the quality of each Kansa–Bronze plate?
Every plate is individually hand-beaten and shaped, resulting in superior density, strength, and durability compared to machine-made metal plates.
5. Is the plate's charcoal outer finish safe for daily use?
Yes, the charcoal finish is a result of traditional hammering and firing techniques. It is completely safe and gradually smoothens as the plate is used.
