Meenakari’, is an ancient art of colouring and ornamenting the surface of metals. It is done by fusing over it brilliant colours that are patterned in an intricate design.
The handcrafted Key holder is made of wooden panel as the base and embellished with copper, with enamelling in bright colours of yellow, green, blue and red.
The key holder uses the technique of Cloisonné. The copper wire is stretched to form an enchanting geometrical pattern of squares filled with colours.
The process is long and complex, and a single piece of Mina can pass through many hands before it is completed: designer, engraver, enamelist, polisher.
The craft is exclusive and made to order. It takes 10 days to create it.
