How many grams of Tin is needed per vessel of Kalai
Generally we should be using about 4-5 grams of tin which again depends on the size of the vessel. Larger the vessel, greater the quantity of tin to be used for the kalai process.
How many grams of Tin is part of the Kalai Kit at Zishta
We provide 28-33 grams of pure tin as part of the kalai kit. You can also purchase the tin alone separately on our website.
What kind of vessels need Kalai or Tin Coating to be done?
All brass and copper cookware needs to have kalai or tin coating. When you start seeing the colour of the metal on the inside, it is time to do the kalai coating.
