What are different traditional storage?
We have a variety of options and some of the best include brass, neem wood and soapstone.
Do storage container need Kalai
For storing raw/whole food ingredients, it can be used without kalai. Grounded food or cooked food containers should have kalai.
How frequently do you need to do Kalai?
Depending on usage, kalai has to be redone between 2-3 years. As these containers will not be washed frequently unless its used for storing cooked food.

Soapstone Containers can be refrigerated. Brass (With tin coating) is not recommended as it can impact the tin coating and its wear off on the food stored in them.
