Black Pottery Casserole: Handcrafted Longpi casserole for cooking and serving.

The Manipur Black Pottery Casserole is a handcrafted Longpi pottery vessel designed for both cooking and serving. It follows the traditional “Loree Hamlei” method, where locally sourced rocks are crushed and shaped into cookware instead of using regular clay.

This casserole works well for slow cooking, baking (without cane handle protection), and reheating in a microwave. It also doubles as serveware, making it easy to move from kitchen to table while keeping food warm.

Product Highlights

·         Multi-Purpose Cookware and Serveware - Use it for cooking, reheating, and serving in the same vessel.

·         Handcrafted Using Longpi Pottery - Made by artisans using traditional methods without industrial processing.

·         Retains Heat for Longer Duration - Keeps food warm at the table without needing reheating.

·         Suitable for Baking and Reheating - Can be used in ovens (without cane parts) and microwave ovens.

·         Even Cooking Without Hot Spots - Supports steady heat distribution for better cooking results.

·         Enhances Natural Flavour of Food - Adds a subtle earthy taste that complements home-cooked meals.

·         Note: Each piece is crafted after your order. Delivery takes 15–20 days.

·         Note: We do not accept returns or exchange of the products listed in this category.

·         Caution: Longpi pottery is susceptible to thermal shock, which can cause cracking or breakage. To prevent thermal shock, do not expose the pottery to extreme temperature changes. For example, do not transfer the pottery directly from the refrigerator to a hot stove or oven.
