Black Pottery Casserole: Handcrafted Longpi casserole for cooking and serving.
The Manipur Black Pottery Casserole is a handcrafted Longpi pottery vessel designed for both cooking and serving. It follows the traditional “Loree Hamlei” method, where locally sourced rocks are crushed and shaped into cookware instead of using regular clay.
This casserole works well for slow cooking, baking (without cane handle protection), and reheating in a microwave. It also doubles as serveware, making it easy to move from kitchen to table while keeping food warm.
