Bought the small and large sized - eeyam chembu (Sattu ginne in telugu).
the pots are amazing and they give a very unique flavor to the rasam.
When not in use for rasam - I also use the eeyam chembu to store rice that always cooked in the morning (heard that it was used for this purpose in olden days)

The story behind the Craft

First molten tin is poured to form a thick sheet and that is slowly beaten with wooden hammers and tools to bring them to the final shape. It take 6-7 hours to make one vessel.

Tastiest Rasam in the World

Tin is known to react positively with the tamarind and spices used in making Rasam. Once you have tasted the rasam in an Eeya Chombu, there is no going back!

Tin as per "Ayurveda" assists in managing the phlegm ("Kapa") in our body. Long term usage assists in diabetes management, UTI prevention and improves gut health.
