Do we need Kalai to store water?
As water is not acidic, we do not need kalai to store water in copper
What is black spotting on copper?
Good quality (non-coated) copper will oxidise when in contact with water or air. This results in the black/dark shade spotting. Washing it with tamarind or lime skin removes the spotting
What is the green formation in unclean copper?
This is called Patina. It is not safe to consume water from copper pots which has lots of patina. Scrub and clean copper with tamarind or lime skin once in 3-4 days
