The correct density of stone is only available in Salem District of Tamil Nadu and the cluster is completely located in this region.
Is soapstone Breakable?
Yes. They are breakable. But if maintained well (Cleaning and Stored separately from other kitchen cookware), these can last for generations!

Why does Soapstone crack after many months of usage?
There could be multiple reasons for the same.
1. Maintenance: We should make sure they are cleaned and stored separately.
2. Usage: Please make sure you follow the initial treatment and usage instruction for first 15-20 uses carefully to enhance the life of soapstone.
3. Dry heating: As much as possible prevent dry heating of the stone and then adding cold ingredients. Always add something to the stone before heating it up.
