A Brass Basin Paraat is a traditional, round and deep multipurpose brass bowl used across Indian kitchens for kneading dough, mixing ingredients or serving food. 

Handcrafted by the Mirzapur Thatheras in Uttar Pradesh, this paraat retains the authenticity of Indian cookware while meeting the needs of modern household. Zishta is glad to revive the traditional craft of Mirzapur.

  • Heritage Craftsmanship: Handcrafted by the Thatheras of Mirzapur, Uttar Pradesh. Making of Pital bartan in Mirzapur by the Thatheras is traced back to over 3 to 4 centuries. The soil of Mirzapur is most favorable for moulds as it neither cracks not melts. 
  • Design: Wide, round, deep bowl with a gently curved base.

  • Usage: Dough kneading, mixing ingredients, storing fresh rotis, serving.
  • Care: Avoid harsh or abrasive detergents. After cleaning wipe it dry immediately to avoid marks on the utensil.
