The neem wood is seasoned using mustard oil and muslin cloth. The mustard oil washes off during the initial few uses and hence the colour wash off. Its just a natural colour wash off and nothing to worry.

The neem wood is soaked in water for months before its cut into different shapes and accessories. This process removes the bitterness from the neem wood and hence does not affect the food.
