I have purchased around four items from Zishta so far. I haven't had any issues. Based on my previous experiences and the premium rates we are paying for the items, I decided to order an Appam pan from them, expecting the best quality. However, the Appam pan they sent was not pre-seasoned, and the finishing of the product is not up to the mark. The product they have displayed on website and the photos of the original products they shared on WhatsApp is not at all matching with the item I have received. customer care provided no help, just a few sugar-coated words. Additionally, for returns, we need to pay the shipping charges, even though I am from Bangalore as well. I am very disappointed with the way they handled my concern.

The cast iron as requested had been wipe dry of the oil we use for seasoning. There are two forms of machine finish where they get a smooth finish and traditional finish which is much rougher. the weight is higher and lasts longer. More you apply oil and use they get smoother with usage.

Are they Pre-seasoned?
All our Iron & Cast Iron Cookware are pre-seasoned following traditional techniques. We use Gingely (Sesame) oil for the seasoning process.
How to start using the Cast Iron cookware?
First wash the cookware really well. then heat it in gas burner, add 2- 3 spoons of cooking oil and cut an onion and fry it in them for about 5-7 mins in low flame. Then discard the onions and the cookware is ready for use.
