Cast Iron Double Handle Tawa - Smooth, Steady Heat for Rotis and Dosas
The Cast Iron Tawa with Smooth Finish and Double Handle is a flat cooking pan made for everyday Indian cooking. It is designed for rotis, parathas, dosas, and chillas where even heat and surface control matter.
The tawa is part of Zishta’s traditional range of cast iron cookware built for long-term use and clean cooking.
Product Highlights
- Smooth Finished Cooking Surface - The surface is machine smoothened after casting. This reduces rough patches and prevents loose black particles. Food spreads evenly, and seasoning becomes simpler with regular use.
- Pre-Seasoned by Baking - The tawa is pre-seasoned using a baking process, not chemical coating. This creates a stable base layer and shortens the time needed to build your own natural seasoning.
- Double Handle for Better Control - Two handles help distribute weight evenly. This makes flipping dosas, lifting the tawa, or moving it off heat safer and more comfortable.
- Thick and Heat Retentive - The tawa is strong and heavy. Once hot, it stays hot. This helps cook rotis and dosas evenly without repeated reheating.
- Uses Less Oil Over Time - As seasoning improves, the surface becomes naturally non-sticky. This helps reduce oil usage during daily cooking.
Why Choose This Cast Iron Double Handle Tawa
- Made for Everyday Indian Breads - This tawa is sized and balanced for rotis, parathas, and dosas cooked regularly at home, not occasional use.
- No Chemical Coatings - There is no synthetic non-stick layer. You cook directly on cast iron, avoiding unwanted chemicals in daily meals.
- Easier Seasoning Compared to Rough Surfaces - The smooth finish allows oil to spread evenly during seasoning, reducing patchy buildup.
- Long-Lasting Kitchen Essential - With basic care, this tawa lasts for decades. It does not peel, chip, or wear out like coated pans.
- Part of a Proven Cast Iron System - This product fits into a wider cast iron cooking approach explained in this guide to cast iron and iron cookware, helping users cook confidently across recipes.
