Does Kansa lose shine with usage?
Kansa or bronze tend to oxidise with usage . Best way to get the shine back is to use tamarind or lime skin to clean the oxidisation.
What is green formation on the surface of kansa?
Copper in the alloy oxidises with exposure to water and air. If not cleaned regularly, the patina formation happens which is greenish in colour. This is not safe to consume food from kansa which has patina formation. Clean it immediately before using again.
Can we cook food in Kansa?
Hand-beaten kansa cannot be used for cooking. Only Casted Kansa (Tulsi Range of Zishta) can be used for cooking.
