All our products are handcrafted and this results in each product being unique and slightly different from each other and therefore will have minor variations on dimensions & weight.Storing pulses, coffee powder to grains - these traditionally made brass storage containers with tin coating is one of the most traditional ways to store our kitchen ingredients.
Brass with Zinc in the alloy, has high anti-oxidant properties and help in preserving the produce stored in these containers.
Brass could react with acidic material stored, so we provide these containers with tin coating to provided added level of safety.
Storage containers are available in 3 sizes and dimensions of the same are shared in the table below
These storage containers are crafted by the traditional artisans of Tamil Nadu who have been making brass kitchen products for last 8-10 generations.

Do storage container need Kalai
For storing raw/whole food ingredients, it can be used without kalai. Grounded food or cooked food containers should have kalai.
How frequently do you need to do Kalai?
Depending on usage, kalai has to be redone between 2-3 years. As these containers will not be washed frequently unless its used for storing cooked food.
What are the benefits of storing in Brass?
Preserves anti-oxidants in the spices and food stored in them.
Can we refrigerate Cooked Food in Containers?
Soapstone Containers can be refrigerated. Brass (With tin coating) is not recommended as it can impact the tin coating and its wear off on the food stored in them.
